U.S. Senator Norm Coleman

Norm served as a U.S. Senator from Minnesota (2003 – 2009); Mayor of St. Paul (1994 – 2002); and Solicitor General for the state of Minnesota. Since leaving office, Senator Coleman founded the National Action Network and became Chairman of the Republican Jewish Coalition.

Governor George Allen

George served as Governor of Virginia (1994 – 1998); U.S. Senator from Virginia (2001 – 2007); Congressman from Virgnia (1991 – 1993); and member of the Virginia House of Delegates (1983 – 1991). Since leaving office, among other things, he has served on the Reagan Ranch Board of Governors.

U.S. Senator Judd Gregg

Judd served as U.S. Senator from New Hampshire (1993 – 2011); Governor of New Hampshire (1989 – 1993); and Congressman from New Hampshire (1981 – 1989). He also served as Chair of the Senate Budget Committee (2005 – 2007) and was appointed to the Simpson Bowles commission.

Governor Ed Schafer

Ed served as the 30th Governor of North Dakota from 1992 to 2000. He also served as the 29th Secretary of Agriculture under George W. Bush from 2008 to 2009. He was appointed as the Interim President of the University of North Dakota, serving from January through June 2016

Adm. William Owens (Ret)

Bill served as Vice Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff; Chairman of the Board, Century Link; CEO of Nortel Networks; Pres. of Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC); Chairman and CEO of AEA Holdings Asia. He attained the rank of 4-Star Navy Admiral during a storied military career.

Steve has served as President Trump’s Chief Tax/Budget Advisor; Senior Fellow at the Heritage Foundation; Editorial Board Editor, the Wall Street Journal; Founder and President of the Club For Growth; Fellow at the Cato Institute; and Contributing Editor for the National Review.

Hon. Greg S. Casey, Sr.

Greg served as the 34th Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate; President and CEO of the Business Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC); Chief of Staff to a member of the U.S. House; Chief of Staff to a member of the U.S. Senate; and Deputy Chief of staff to the Senate Majority Leader.

Loren J. Enns, President

Loren is the prime content expert and educational field operative for the balanced budget amendment campaign. He has written a book on Article V and serves as a Policy Advisor for the Heartland Institute. Previously, Loren worked as a Network Engineer for Cisco Systems Inc.

Lewis K. Uhler

Lew is President and founder of the National Tax Limitation Committee, former Tax/Budget Advisor to Ronald Reagan and Co-Founder of the BBA Task Force. Uhler has been at the forefront of the campaign for a Tax Limitation / Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution for over 40 years.

Dr. Barry Poulson

Barry is a Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado and Co-Founder of the BBA Task Force. He is the author of numerous books and articles. Poulson is currently developing the criteria for the implementation of a Balanced Budget Amendment once ratification is complete.

Gary Banz

Gary is a former member of the Oklahoma House, retired High School teacher and Co-Founder of the BBA Task Force. Banz is a true believer in the BBA, having carried the flag in Oklahoma for four years where he methodically advanced it towards passage in 2016 despite heavy opposition.

Robert Frank, Treasurer

Robert is a CPA with Frank and Company. He specializes in auditing financial statements of for-profit and not-for-profit entities; representing clients and presenting findings to regulatory and appeals bodies. He is Treasurer for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Fund and many others.

Former 4-term Governor of Wisconsin (1987 to 2001); Secretary of Health and Human Services under President George W. Bush (2001 – 2005). He has long supported a balanced budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Charles (Charlie) R. Black

Chairman, Prime Policy Group. Black worked on Ronald Reagan’s campaigns in 1976, 1980 and 1984 and as a senior political adviser to the 1992 re-election campaign of George H. W. Bush. He served as chief campaign adviser for John McCain in the 2008 election and advised Mitt Romney in 2012.

William H. Fruth

President, Policom Corp., Co-founder, BBA Task Force. Fruth is an economist who works with state and local gov’ts, trade groups and businesses to assess their financial challenges and plot a new way forward. He wrote “Ten Amendments for Freedom” before joining the BBA campaign.

Mike Stern

Co-founder, Balanced Budget Amendment Task Force; former Congressional staff member; currently an attorney specializing in legal issues related to Congress and the legislative process. Mike has been involved in Article V issues for over 10 years and acts as counsel to the BBA Task Force.
